3 Tips to Writing Effective Articles for Affiliate Marketing

There are many ways of how to make money online. For those who want to work from home, joining an affiliate program is the quickest way to get started and make money fast. However, to be successful in marketing on the internet, you need to make a good web presence. The best way to achieve this, which also is a form of free advertising, is to write articles and post them online. In this article we will cover 3 tips of how to write effective articles for affiliate internet marketing.

There are three parts to every article. Let's take a look at what these are, and how you can make sure yours are written in the best possible way.

1. Article Title

The first thing your reader will see is your article title. This is an exceptionally important part of your article and serves as a headline does on a salespage. Your title needs to captivate the reader, get their attention and prompt them to read further. You want your article title to be irresistible so they can't help but click on the link and read the entire page.

2. Article Description

When article directories submit your content into their database, typically your title shows and possibly your description, or the first paragraph within your article content. This is one of a few reasons why that first paragraph is very important. It not only works to describe what your article is about, but just like the title or header, it also needs to work to motivate your reader to continue reading.

3. Article Body Content

The remainder of your article should carry the reader right to the end. Don't think that if your title and initial paragraph is good that they will simply continue reading. You still need to bring them along with you by weaving your article content so that it directly addresses the topic of your article. Keep it interesting and on topic. Use short paragraphs rather than lengthy ones and limit your article body content to around 400 characters in total.

Tip: If you are able to outsource the writing to a seasoned writer, I'd recommend considering it. You'll be able to free up some time and focus on promoting your business and brand in other ways.

There you go. By following the above tips you should be able to write effective articles which will draw traffic to your website. As with all things, practice makes perfect.

Article Marketing - The Great Debate

There is much debate online about whether or not article marketing still works. And when I say "article marketing", I mean the process of writing a high quality article, and submitting them to the article directories. After all, isn't that what they're there for? To get you more traffic to your website, and also to get your articles syndicated from other website owners who publish your article onto their website?

This is something that you should be definitely doing. And no... the great debate has nothing to do with whether or not you should submit your articles to the article directories. The great debate is whether or not you should write for humans, or write for the search engines.

You will hear a ton of conflicting advice about this topic. And guess what? You will find very successful people online giving you 2 separate pieces of advice. So what does this mean? It simply means that both techniques are feasible, and both work within their own domain.

So which one should YOU choose? Well, that's what I want to talk to you about today. I myself personally subscribe to 1 of these 2 notions, and it works very well for me. But for other marketers online, the other notion works well for them too. Here's the first consideration you should keep in mind when doing your article marketing:

1) Writing for humans

Personally I like this idea better. When you write for humans, your words are easy to read and understand. If a human likes your article, they will be more apt to click on your website link in your signature, and take some kind of action on your website. When you write for humans, your thoughts and ideas come off as clear and coherent.

There isn't any doubt that a human wrote it, and not a robot. So when writing your articles, make sure you write for humans. It will build your fan base up, and will help you to become a favorite amongst the many people in your niche. Here's the other side of the argument that we have to look at:

2) Writing for search engines

The idea behind this makes sense, but some people overdo it. Many people hear the term "keyword density", yet still overpower their article with redundant keywords. A lot of article directories won't allow this, and the search engines are getting smart enough to see past this practice.

Always shoot for a 2 to 3% keyword density. This basically means that for every 100 words, you want to include your main keyword term 2 to 3 times. This is pretty good. Make sure your article is readable and doesn't sound like a lot of nonsense. Even if the search engine ranks you high for your article, what good would it be if a reader couldn't read it easily, and they just leave your site - not buying or clicking on anything?

These 2 ideas are things that you need to test out in your own online business. I personally like method number 1 of writing for humans. This way, you know you're going to generate high quality articles, and that your readers will enjoy them also when they take a look at it.

Good luck with your article marketing efforts today.

Effective Article Marketing - 4 Steps to Energize Your Article Marketing

Are you getting results from article marketing when you use it as your main source of traffic generation? Are you concerned that your articles are lacking in information? Why won't people click through to your squeeze page and sign up for your list?

To help you with these problems, I am going to give you 4 steps to help you energize your article marketing:

1) Define your target readers. Before you begin to write any articles, you should ask your readers exactly what they want explained. Go to your list and ask them what problems they have. Go to forums on your niche and find out what is of interest to them. Now you know exactly what your readers want, so give it to them. Since it's what they have asked for, they should be more than happy to read your entire article and want even more information.

2) Choose a topic of interest. If you want the attention of your readers then you must use topics that interest them. You should talk about their problems and show them that you can solve them. Of course you usually can't solve all of their problems in only one article but, if you make the information crisp and clear, they will accept that you know what you are talking about and want more on the subject. This will make them amenable to clicking to your squeeze page and joining your list to get even more great information on the subject.

3) Establish your credibility. In order to get your readers to buy your products you must first get them to trust you. They must see that your knowledge of the topic is first-rate and they will be sure that you will be giving them great information. You can do this by trying to resolve their biggest problems and burning questions. When you do this you will convince your readers that you truly know what you are talking about regarding your topics.

4) Watch your article length. Your article should be at least 400 and should not exceed 550 words. If it is too long then your reader might lose interest. Remember, there are probably many articles dealing with your topic for a reader to look through. Many people just quickly browse through the articles because they don't have a lot of time. If your article is too long you may have people losing interest and not choose to completely read your article.

Article Marketing Will Always Work

In my opinion, article marketing will never go away. How could it? The internet is made up of content, and the search engines want to deliver that content to the people who want it. So how could marketing articles online ever stop working? This will never happen. You see, as I write this article, there are many people who will be looking for the content I am writing. So I am positioning myself to be found online, and you can do the same. Here's a strategy I think you will like:

Write 5 articles per day for the next 30 days. After 30 days of writing, you will have lots of visitors to your website. The fact is that the more articles you put online, the more traffic you get, and the more traffic you get, the more money you will make. Article marketing is great for building trust with your prospects. And when you can get people to trust you, I mean REALLY trust you, the amount of money you can make online will be endless. This is just the way it is. So what do you write about?

What niche are you in? What do people want to learn? What are their questions? Do they have problems? Finding topics to write about is really easy when you keep an open mind. Write an article for each question someone wants an answer to. This is a wonderful way to create content rather quickly. Have you read anything new lately? If so, write an article explaining your opinion of what you read. It's EASY.

When people tell me that article marketing doesn't work anymore, I laugh. Why would I be writing this article right now if it didn't bring me results? I wouldn't be. I would be doing something else. Marketing with articles is a great way to increase your online exposure and establish yourself as the expert in your niche. People will read your articles and begin to love your content. They will look for new articles written by you every day. Are you beginning to realize the power of writing articles? Do you see the potential you have?

I don't think anyone can honestly say that they would trust an ad over an article they read. Ads are just links that people click. An article is so much more than that. An article is a part of you. Can creating ads give you the same results as writing articles? I don't think so.

Is Article Writing and Marketing Still Valid?

Many people will tell me that article marketing is dead. And I simply reply, "Would I still be writing articles if it didn't work?" Of course not! It always makes me chuckle whenever I hear people say that. You see, I've been a full-time article writer for over 3 years now, and I will continue to do so because I know the power of content syndication. I understand that it is not just one article that brings traffic to my website, it is many.

Let me go into more detail. Every morning, when I decide to fall out of bed, I go down to my computer and start writing. Most of the time I don't even know what I'm going to write about, but I do it anyway. Why? Well, it's because the articles I write will be responsible for my future online. And let me tell you, I write a lot of articles. I've been known to write as many as 20 in a single day. And do you want to know how those worked out? Well, each copy I write will eventually, over the course of several months, earn me $45 to $60. That's not a bad accomplishment for just a few hours of work each day.

So, is article marketing dead? I'll leave that for you to decide. But let me leave you with this. If you could write 10-15 articles per day, with just a few hours of work, would you? In other words, if each article would make you, on average, $52 in the next few months, would you write them? Let's put that into perspective. After a few months, every batch of 10 articles you wrote would make you $520. Now, would you write then a day for two months? If you have the proper product funnel in place, meaning that you have a $25, $100, $500, and $997 being promoted to new subscribers on your list, you would be making on average about $31,200 every two months. Would you like to make that kind of money?

So how is that possible? Well, my testing has shown that each article will bring me 3 new subscribers. That's 600 new subscribers every 2 months at 10 articles per day. I have discovered that every subscriber on my list will spend about $17.33 over the course of the first 2 months. So do the math. How much money would you be earning with 1,800 new subscribers every 2 months? So, is article marketing dead?

Article Marketing Is Still Alive

Article marketing is still relevant. It still works. People give up too easily before they see results. You see, marketing articles is exactly like planting a harvest of pumpkins. Take the farmer for example. A farmer must plant the seeds, water them, and wait five months before he sees any hint of a pumpkin. It takes time. Does the farmer go out to his farm one day, throw up his hands and say "This doesn't work!?" Of course he doesn't. He knows that the process will take time. And when he is patient with the harvest, the results will come.

Writing articles should be treated the exact same way. Every article you write is just like a seed. And once that seed has had time to grow, amazing things happen. You will get a high performing income generating machine. This will take time, but isn't that exciting? I think so. I think that if more marketers saw the potential with content marketing, we'd have more millionaires in our world. Ever article that you write will add to the income you can make online.

Some people are scared of the new Panda update. And I say, "Why?" Fear is only going to stop you from getting the results you want. If you didn't do things because you were afraid to do them, you wouldn't get anywhere in life. So what is the reason for traffic falling with articles? Well, I believe that there is only one reason. People aren't writing high quality content. They find a piece of content online, and then they rehash it. They rewrite the content without even thinking about it. So what does that do? Well, it two bad things. Probably more than that, but you get the point. One, it causes Google to ignore ever article you write. And two, you waste valuable time, and lose money.

So what happened to all the content that was there? One thing happened. Google dumped them off the net. They dropped them in the garbage. This is awesome news for you! This means that now, you will be able to take advantage of all the free space that is available to you.

But here's the truth... You must write good stuff. You can't expect to see results if you are just copying every person you find online. Find your voice. What do you have to offer people? What can you teach people? Write about it! Take 15 minutes and jot down some notes. Once you have some ideas. Write an article about it. Do you see how easy this is? It's alright. You're doing well. Just don't give up.

Profitable Content Marketing - 3 Content Title Mistakes and What to Do Instead (Prospects, Profits)

Crafting profitable content titles will bring you more prospects and profits.

And you do want more prospects and profits, right?

The challenge is there are so many mistakes you can make when you are creating titles for your content. So in this article I'll show you 3 of the many mistakes and what to do instead. Ready?

3 Mistakes and What to Do Instead

Title Mistake #1 - Failure to brainstorm your title - 99 percent of people create one title and go with it. So what's so wrong with that - why is it a mistake?

Well, since your title is the most important part of your content, you want to spend a great deal of time on it. If your title stinks, very few people will read your content. If your title is compelling and well thought out, you will dramatically increase the number of prospects who read your content.

What to do instead - Experiment with dozens of titles. Play with the benefits you offer. Narrow your titles down to the top 3 and run them by a few people. See which ones they like the best.

Title Mistake #2 - Failure to front load your title with keywords - When you fail to include keywords in the first four words of your title, Google will not find your content. So a title that starts with "How to Deliver the... " is a lousy title.

What to do instead - Include keywords in the first four words of you title. It's quite easy to do. For example, check out the title of this article you are reading. "Profitable Content Marketing" includes the keyword phrase "Content Marketing" while still being attractive to your prospect.

Mistake #3 - Failure to include benefits in your title - You must remember that your prospect is a busy person who has lots of options for how they spend their time. When you fail to include in your title any of the benefits of reading your content, most prospects will bypass your content.

What to do instead - Include compelling benefits that will make your prospect want to stop want they are doing to consume your content. Again, let's use the title of this article as an example. "Profitable Content Marketing - 3 Content Title Mistakes and What to Do Instead (Prospects & Profits)" tells the prospect that not only will 3 mistakes be revealed, you'll also find out what to do instead.

That will make prospects want to consume your content right away.

Tips For Making Article Marketing Work For You

One part of online marketing that a lot of people hate is article development. Because of this, many online business owners would rather outsource their article writing, instead of doing it themselves. I personally think that you should write your own articles yourself because you know how the article will come out, and you won't have to spend a dime for it.

Now some people just have large advertising budgets that allow them to outsource their article writing. Is it a bad investment? Sometimes it's not, and sometimes it is. You may find an article writer with a good background and good sample work, but when it comes down to researching your niche and writing up quality articles for you - they just fall short.

If you would like to get the upper hand online and start earning the money that you know you should be making, you're going to have to put your article marketing efforts into high gear. Now isn't the time to be slacking off. In today's economy, you need the "edge" to stay alive despite competition, and you need the "will" to make your business succeed.

So when doing your article marketing, what kind of things should you do first? Well the first thing that you should do is to be an expert in your niche. You shouldn't enter into a niche where you don't know much about. If you're just trying to do some SEO and write poor articles that don't relate to anything within your niche... you won't make any money - and it doesn't matter how many articles like this that you write.

Your articles have to be of high quality. It's best to do some niche research to see what some of the problems are, and how you can come through and offer them something that will be of immense benefit for you. This is something that is very important, and isn't something that you should neglect.

I personally like to stick within the 400-500 word range when writing up articles. They are perceived as higher quality articles as opposed to 250 word articles. But this is just perception. There are many 250 word articles that has more quality content than 700 word articles out there. But you have to keep your prospects in mind, and hopefully get them to view your content as something that they would like to see over and over again.

Article marketing is tough. Many people do it, and many people choose not to do it. Some like outsourcing the work, and some people feel like it's a waste of time. I don't think it's a waste of time though, because submitting articles to the article directories and on your blog and website are still viable means to get more new traffic to your website.

Take it from me... the more articles you write and get out on the internet, the more traffic you will get. The less you write, the slower the leads will be coming in for you. So keep this in mind when trying to earn the traffic and sales for your business when doing article marketing.

Take these tips and use them to improve your article marketing efforts today.

Good luck with making more money online.
