Newbie Article Writers - 4 Astounding Secrets for Writing an Effective Article

Every day there are thousands of people who want to become an article writer. Most of them disappear after a few tries because they don't have the training or insight on how to create successful articles. If you truly want to become an article writer then you should pay close attention to the following 4 secrets to help you learn the correct way to write an article.

Here are the 4 secret steps for writing an effective article:

1) Write at least 400 words. Most Article Directories today require a minimum of 400 words in order for your articles to be accepted. Your article should have a title, an introduction, a body and a conclusion. Generally, your introduction should be about 100-150 words, your body of the article should contain about 250 - 300 words and your conclusion should be about 50 - 100 words. None of these numbers are carved in stone except you must have at least the minimum of 400 words for your entire article.

2) The title should contain a main keyword. Keywords in an article aren't as important as many people say they are but that's a discussion I'll save for another article. However, you should always try to place your main keyword as the first word of your article title or at least somewhere in the title. This is for a number of reasons. It is the first thing that a reader sees and it is also the first thing that a search engine bot sees when it is crawling your article. This will help your rankings in the search engines.

3) The body should have bullets or numbers. If you have more than one point to make with your information, then you should present it in bulleted or numbered paragraphs. This makes it much easier to see and the reader will then know that you have much to say about your topics. Each paragraph should refer to your title or the reader will feel like you're just adding filler and no real information. Or worse yet, the reader might think that you really don't know what you're talking about and won't read any more of your articles in the future - there goes a potential buyer of your products!

4) Proofread your work before it's sent to the publisher. Most computers have spell checkers so that you can check your work and make sure that there are no misspellings contained in it. Today Article Directories also have spell checkers and could reject your article because of a misspelling or, perhaps, bad grammar. This means time wasted in fixing your article and not getting it published early. Bottom Line: Proofread your work before submission.

3 Tips to Writing Effective Articles for Affiliate Marketing

There are many ways of how to make money online. For those who want to work from home, joining an affiliate program is the quickest way to get started and make money fast. However, to be successful in marketing on the internet, you need to make a good web presence. The best way to achieve this, which also is a form of free advertising, is to write articles and post them online. In this article we will cover 3 tips of how to write effective articles for affiliate internet marketing.

There are three parts to every article. Let's take a look at what these are, and how you can make sure yours are written in the best possible way.

1. Article Title

The first thing your reader will see is your article title. This is an exceptionally important part of your article and serves as a headline does on a salespage. Your title needs to captivate the reader, get their attention and prompt them to read further. You want your article title to be irresistible so they can't help but click on the link and read the entire page.

2. Article Description

When article directories submit your content into their database, typically your title shows and possibly your description, or the first paragraph within your article content. This is one of a few reasons why that first paragraph is very important. It not only works to describe what your article is about, but just like the title or header, it also needs to work to motivate your reader to continue reading.

3. Article Body Content

The remainder of your article should carry the reader right to the end. Don't think that if your title and initial paragraph is good that they will simply continue reading. You still need to bring them along with you by weaving your article content so that it directly addresses the topic of your article. Keep it interesting and on topic. Use short paragraphs rather than lengthy ones and limit your article body content to around 400 characters in total.

Tip: If you are able to outsource the writing to a seasoned writer, I'd recommend considering it. You'll be able to free up some time and focus on promoting your business and brand in other ways.

There you go. By following the above tips you should be able to write effective articles which will draw traffic to your website. As with all things, practice makes perfect.

Article Marketing - The Great Debate

There is much debate online about whether or not article marketing still works. And when I say "article marketing", I mean the process of writing a high quality article, and submitting them to the article directories. After all, isn't that what they're there for? To get you more traffic to your website, and also to get your articles syndicated from other website owners who publish your article onto their website?

This is something that you should be definitely doing. And no... the great debate has nothing to do with whether or not you should submit your articles to the article directories. The great debate is whether or not you should write for humans, or write for the search engines.

You will hear a ton of conflicting advice about this topic. And guess what? You will find very successful people online giving you 2 separate pieces of advice. So what does this mean? It simply means that both techniques are feasible, and both work within their own domain.

So which one should YOU choose? Well, that's what I want to talk to you about today. I myself personally subscribe to 1 of these 2 notions, and it works very well for me. But for other marketers online, the other notion works well for them too. Here's the first consideration you should keep in mind when doing your article marketing:

1) Writing for humans

Personally I like this idea better. When you write for humans, your words are easy to read and understand. If a human likes your article, they will be more apt to click on your website link in your signature, and take some kind of action on your website. When you write for humans, your thoughts and ideas come off as clear and coherent.

There isn't any doubt that a human wrote it, and not a robot. So when writing your articles, make sure you write for humans. It will build your fan base up, and will help you to become a favorite amongst the many people in your niche. Here's the other side of the argument that we have to look at:

2) Writing for search engines

The idea behind this makes sense, but some people overdo it. Many people hear the term "keyword density", yet still overpower their article with redundant keywords. A lot of article directories won't allow this, and the search engines are getting smart enough to see past this practice.

Always shoot for a 2 to 3% keyword density. This basically means that for every 100 words, you want to include your main keyword term 2 to 3 times. This is pretty good. Make sure your article is readable and doesn't sound like a lot of nonsense. Even if the search engine ranks you high for your article, what good would it be if a reader couldn't read it easily, and they just leave your site - not buying or clicking on anything?

These 2 ideas are things that you need to test out in your own online business. I personally like method number 1 of writing for humans. This way, you know you're going to generate high quality articles, and that your readers will enjoy them also when they take a look at it.

Good luck with your article marketing efforts today.

What to Include in Your Resource Box of an Article

Many starting up article marketers wonder what makes a good resource box. Although many article marketing sites have a guide, not everybody reads these and make a huge mistake, resulting in low click rates and conversions. The below guide is designed to provide them with an overview on how to create a killer resource box.

Personal Information

When writing personal information, it is required to use third person. This looks more professional and convincing. If there are some achievements, rewards the author is proud of, these need to be included. The personal statement needs to answer the reader's questions: "who is this person?" "what do they do?" "how can they help me?" If the resource box answers these questions, people will check out the profile automatically.

Expertise

When writing about personal expertise, awards and achievements need to be mentioned again. Simply stating that one is an expert in something would not convince most of the readers. They would need solid proof. This can be work experience, data, statistical data or anything that is considered to be a success in the eyes of readers.

Contact

It is important to include contact information; most authors use their website address, others include social media account details. No matter what is included; it should be easy for people to provide feedback, ask questions through various channels. It is not advisable to include personal email addresses, though, as there are many spammers out there. However, when people can follow someone on Twitter with one click, the conversion will be higher.

Promise

A good resource box would include a promise. This can be a free training, more information on the site, a report or anything that has a high perceived value for the target audience. The promise needs to be clear and well-defined. If it is a limited offer or requires a subscription, it is better to include the information than to get some people leave the site disappointed.

Call to Action

The most important part of a resource box is the call to action with a clickable link. This should tell the audience what they need to do in order to get their free information; some users would require a step by step description. The promise needs to be strong enough to make people click, therefore, it is good to include the value of the information or gift. For example: "Check out <clickable link> for your free report about xxxx worth $49.

The more articles that you are able to write and get in the directories, the higher your ranking in the search engines will be.

2. Write shorter articles:

The internet search, because of the immense quantity of information, requires a fast and focused search. That is why harboring the internet searchers' short attention span is of utmost importance in being a No Cost Marketer. Plus this goes hand in hand with tip #1, if you can write two 400 word articles instead of one 800 word one, you'll have twice as many articles to your name.

3. Write in The Mornings:

If you want to write a lot of articles, then you have to start early. There is no time like early morning. Get up early in the morning and start your No Cost Marketing efforts at that time.

4. Information. Information. Information:

The only thing that will make your articles valuable to your readers is the information they contain. The more information you share, the better your chances of getting positive response from these people. What I suggest is that you focus on discussing very specific topics so you can easily make your articles brief and to the point. Offer information that is useful to your readers. Instead of giving them general information or talking about the history of certain things, offer them with guides and tips. When needed, talk about their problems and offer solutions. These people will surely love you for doing so.

5. Write "How To" Articles:

When you stop and think about it, people search online because they have some problem and want to know how to solve it or make things better. Solve that problem for them.

Effective Article Marketing - 4 Steps to Energize Your Article Marketing

Are you getting results from article marketing when you use it as your main source of traffic generation? Are you concerned that your articles are lacking in information? Why won't people click through to your squeeze page and sign up for your list?

To help you with these problems, I am going to give you 4 steps to help you energize your article marketing:

1) Define your target readers. Before you begin to write any articles, you should ask your readers exactly what they want explained. Go to your list and ask them what problems they have. Go to forums on your niche and find out what is of interest to them. Now you know exactly what your readers want, so give it to them. Since it's what they have asked for, they should be more than happy to read your entire article and want even more information.

2) Choose a topic of interest. If you want the attention of your readers then you must use topics that interest them. You should talk about their problems and show them that you can solve them. Of course you usually can't solve all of their problems in only one article but, if you make the information crisp and clear, they will accept that you know what you are talking about and want more on the subject. This will make them amenable to clicking to your squeeze page and joining your list to get even more great information on the subject.

3) Establish your credibility. In order to get your readers to buy your products you must first get them to trust you. They must see that your knowledge of the topic is first-rate and they will be sure that you will be giving them great information. You can do this by trying to resolve their biggest problems and burning questions. When you do this you will convince your readers that you truly know what you are talking about regarding your topics.

4) Watch your article length. Your article should be at least 400 and should not exceed 550 words. If it is too long then your reader might lose interest. Remember, there are probably many articles dealing with your topic for a reader to look through. Many people just quickly browse through the articles because they don't have a lot of time. If your article is too long you may have people losing interest and not choose to completely read your article.
